Discussion on Laboratory Information Management System for Production Geo-laboratories

  • 摘要: 实验室信息管理系统(LIMS)是实验室利用现代信息技术改进业务流程和组织结构,不断提高经营管理和决策的效率和水平,达到提高实验室经济效益、市场竞争力和改进实验室管理、降低运行成本、为客户提供更具价值服务为目的的一个有效的技术手段。根据生产型地质实验室管理需求和信息流特点,结合现今IT技术和LIMS的发展状况,文章提出了生产型地质实验室LIMS的解决方案,即一套以业务管理体系、质量保证体系、组织管理体系三大体系为支撑,包括技术管理、流程管理、质量管理、文档管理、系统管理和基础管理6个子系统所组成的实验室信息管理系统。

     

    Abstract: Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is an advanced technical support for laboratory management, which can unceasingly enhance the laboratory efficiency and level in both management and decision-making by using modern information technology to improve the workflow and the organizational structure. Moreover, it is more important for the production geo-laboratories to improve laboratory economic benefits and market competitiveness. According to the management requirements and the information-flow characteristics of the production geo-laboratories, the related issues with existing problems on developing and application of LIMS in laboratory management were discussed in details. A new LIMS system based on the three sub-systems of the business management system, the quality control system and the organization manage system for the production geo-laboratories was proposed. The new LIMS system provides the six functions of technical management, workflow management, quality control, document management, system administration and foundation management.
