Simultaneous Determination of Major, Minor and Trace Components in Limestone Samples by X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry

  • A X-ray fluorescence spectrometric method (using ZSX Primus Ⅱ instrument) with fusion and pressed pellet sample preparation has been developed for the determination of major, minor and trace components including CaO, Na2O, MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, K2O, TFe2O3, P2O5, TiO2, MnO and S in limestone samples. The matrix effect is corrected by classic α- coefficient and using scattered line as internal standard. The results are in agreement with certified values with precision of less than 10%RSD(n=12).
